Weeee!

First post. Woot!

I am excited. Who wouldn’t? I will be raving (and ranting) about BOOKS!
Hmmm…so why did I decide to put up this blog?

1. I LOVE BOOKS. This declaration is an understatement.
2. I WANT TO TALK ABOUT BOOKS.
3. WITH MY LOVE OF BOOKS, IT GOES TO SAY THAT I LOVE THE WRITTEN WORD TOO.
4. I HAVE THIS OTHERWISE RIDICULOUS IDEA THAT I COULD WRITE TOO.
5. WISHFUL THINKING IS FREE SO WHY RESTRICT MYSELF?

So there. I will try to post reviews as soon as I finish each book off my shelves. I will be giving stars based on my own reaction and opinion. So the reviews will certainly be very SUBJECTIVE.

Here are my stars:
1 star – I DON’T LIKE IT ONE BIT.
2 stars – I LIKE IT JUST A TINY BIT.
3 stars – I LIKE MOST OF IT BUT I COULDN’T CALL IT LOVE YET.
4 stars – I ALMOST LOVE IT EXCEPT FOR JUST A TEENYWEENY SETBACK.
5 stars – LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I will try not to put spoilers as much as I could, or if I could not really help it, I’ll put up a spoiler warning beforehand. With this blog, I hope to be able to work more on my reading (and writing) habits and at least clean off my towering to-read pile of books.

All said, it’s time for me to go and catch up on my reading. 😉

  1. Read, read, read…. as Theodore Parker said: The books that help you the most are those which make you think the most. Like the Bible. Books of Philip Yancey, John Piper, C. S. Lewis,G.K. Chesterton… 🙂

    1. Agree Manang Layme! Books are our lifeline, our lifeblood. I’m starting to read Yancey. Done reading Disappointment with God. What’s So Amazing About Grace is in my to-read. I LOVE C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia, I could read them over and over again. 🙂
