It has been over a month since the first ever Filipino Reader Conference that happened last September 14 at the SMX Convention Center, and for those who have been following my posts, you might have noticed that I had participated in all of the five Fridays of the Readercon Filipino Friday meme.
I felt a little bit frustrated that I could not be personally present at the ReaderCon, but thanks to Twitter, I was able to follow the live updates even if I was at the office! And it was a rewarding experience as well because I won in the raffle for Twitter followers!
I had no idea what the prize was but knowing the ReaderCon was an affair about books, I had the slightest inkling (and a silent wish ;P) that it would be a book. And indeed, a book it was, which the postmaster delivered to the office last Friday afternoon. Double YAY! :
I must confess that I don’t have any idea what this book is all about, but I squee at books of all kinds, especially books that come in the mail, so seeing the 2Go envelope on my table was such a sweet delight. Plus, The 39 Clues seems an interesting read, so I am happily putting this on my shelf, silently praying for time to finish my to-be-read
mountain pile. Haha.
Thanks Filipino ReaderCon! Till next year! 🙂
