Top Ten Favorite Covers Of Books I’ve Read

This post is already two days late but I thought that since I already missed out several Top Ten Tuesday posts, I might as well get this one out of the way. Plus, this week’s topic (i.e. book covers) really interest me and I would love to talk about what I think about book covers.

I am not a book cover person. I am not easily swayed by book covers and I do not buy a book based on a cover alone. I firmly believe that a book’s greatness isn’t found in the cover but what’s inside the pages. So yeah, I am an advocate of the literal meaning of “Don’t judge the book by it’s cover” maxim. Haha.

There are rare instances, though, that a cover can pique my interest, but as I’ve said, these instances are only rare. Too often, if not always, I immediately look at the blurbs at the back or the first few lines (if the book isn’t wrapped in plastic) and not once do I even give a moment’s attention to the cover. Mind you, I have no qualms with buying movie-tie-in editions as long as I really want to read a book.

But since this TTT topic is all about covers, I have to skim through my Goodreads account and take a look at the books I’ve read and choose which covers I like best. However, this does not mean that since I liked the cover, I also liked the book.

Here are my Top Ten, in no particular order. I just love the colors on these covers, and the symbols they represent about in the story:

And these covers, I am taken by the cute font style:

Okay, so there you go. I may not be a huge fan of book covers, but I also know how to appreciate a good cover whenever I see one. 😉

  1. For some reason, I like the cover of Anna and the French Kiss. The cover is so artistically done! And you know immediately that the book’s about a delightful romantic story set in the city of lights!

  2. GOSH I loved Flipped 🙁 I think I should reread some of the books I love! I also really love The Statistical Probability, though my cover is the green one.
