November is the month that I celebrate my blog’s birthday (my blog will turn three on November 16, to be precise) and as part of the celebration, I am introducing another blog feature which, I hope, will keep me more
interested motivated in writing more reviews — at least the kind of reviews that my measly writing skills can come up with.
I have noticed that most of my posts lately are memes — not that I’m not enjoying them; I do! — but I wanted to see/read more of my thoughts on a book I’ve read, too. I just wish that I could write faster as much as I read. The fact is that when ever I get to write my thoughts on a book I’ve read days (even weeks!) ago, I can no longer recall much about it that I lost all desire to write anymore. I have tried to come up with a review each time I finish a book, but more often than not, I always get distracted by work and Nanay duties (sometimes by another book!).
This is the reason why I have come up with the idea of writing my thoughts (at least some of them) while reading. This will be some sort of a diary which will contain, among others, my personal musings about the book I am currently reading, or I may just post a quote which catches my attention and what I think about it at the moment. This way, I’ll be able to take note of my thoughts and then go back to them when I am already going to write my review. Of course, I’d be careful about not being
too spoilery. 😀 I can actually also do this note-taking offline but I have found my self too lazy to take down notes on paper. Plus, that my handwriting is just blah. Blogging is more fun, so. 😉
I’ve decided to make this diary thing a weekly habit (if I can) so I will do it every Wednesday. Hence, Wednesday Diaries. (It’s quite obvious, eh?)
Why Wednesday, you ask. I don’t know. It just sounds good when paired with “diaries”? Haha. 😛
See you next Wednesday. Cheer me on, please? 😉
