Reading Goals

My 2017 Reading Goals

Last year, I decided to go easy on my reading. I only had two reading goals: a set number of books to read (40 books) and the TFG Bingo Challenge (which I was not able to finish.) I also used to have monthly "required" readings but I also chose to forego it last year. The results were good -- but I also kind of missed the challenge of having to finish a book on schedule. Most of all, I missed having bookish discussions with my other book club friends. So, this year, I want to be active again in the book discussions but I would go easy on the quantity of books I would want finish. Here are m...

2014 Year-End Report + 2015 Reading Goals

[caption id="attachment_2398" align="aligncenter" width="424"] image from here; text mine[/caption] Happy new year, friends! As much as I wanted to make separate posts for my 2014 recap and this year's new reading goals, I had to give time to more important life things such as hanging out with family, and it is only now that I can finally sit down and take care of other life stuff such as  reading. So, this 2-in-1 post will be longer than my usual entries, but please bear with me. My 2014 Year-End Report I really had a good reading year last year because of notable shifts in my reading prefer...

2014 READING GOALS (and a quick recap of 2013)

As is tradition, every beginning of the year I write down my goals for the new year, reading-wise. This year is no exception, because I like making goals. They  make me feel accomplished and mature (haha!), and it doesn’t matter if they are just reading goals. :D But first, here's a quick recap of how I fared with my 2013 Reading Goal: Reading Goal of 30 books. I had increased this number to 40 midway in June (?) but still managed to surpass it by finishing 53 books when 2013 ended. And to think that I gave birth last July and have become a first-time mom. I guess that’s what we call time m...

2013 Reading and Blogging Goals

I'm a bit late for this post but anyway, my blog and I still wish everyone a happy new year!!! :) 2012 has been a pretty wondrous reading year, not only because I surpassed my reading goal of 50 books, but I was also able to discover and enjoy new genres and authors as well. As to my reading resolutions, I remember not making any last year except for the reading goal of 50 books, but this year, I find it necessary to make at least a couple of goals. I say necessary because I still believe that setting a goal and making resolutions are great motivators when it comes to my reading and my readin...

2012 Reading Goal

Last year, I started having a reading goal to challenge myself into reading more books and explore genres outside my comfort zone. The result was fairly good in my opinion and I am glad I did the reading challenge. So this year, I am setting up another reading goal for myself because one, I just love reading, and two, it would be cool to keep track of the number of books I have read for the year. :) Just like last year, I aim to read 50 books within the year. This is also the same number I have entered in the 2012 Goodreads Reading Goal. I hope to beat this number this year. :) 2012 Reading...
