book blogging

6 years and 1 day

[caption id="attachment_3034" align="aligncenter" width="359"] image not mine[/caption] Happy 6 years and 1 day, It's A Wonderful Bookworld! Nope, I didn't forget (I almost did, but thank God for Facebook Memories) and I meant to write a celebratory post yesterday but work (as always) got in the way. There are a lot of things happening in my life right now, most of them work and home-related, that my blogging had to take the backseat. I know it's been at the backseat since last year and no matter how I wanted to be dutifully  updating this blog, I had to prioritize things. It's even come t...

Happy 5th birthday, book blog!

Let's celebrate! Wow, I can't believe it's been 5 years. And here I am, thinking if I should still continue with book blogging. (But I recently renewed my subscription so I guess I'm sticking around here for at least one more year.) Honestly, my life's had some adjustments this year that it's been difficult for me to keep up with my blogging duties. One of the books I am reading now is Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai (currently on Chapter 21) and although there are some history bits about India that I am not very familiar with, I still find the political and historical aspects to be very interesting. Also, I love the humor in the n...

Wednesday Diaries (and what I aim to do)

November is the month that I celebrate my blog's birthday (my blog will turn three on November 16, to be precise) and as part of the celebration, I am introducing another blog feature which, I hope, will keep me more interested motivated in writing more reviews -- at least the kind of reviews that my measly writing skills can come up with. I have noticed that most of my posts lately are memes -- not that I'm not enjoying them; I do! -- but I wanted to see/read more of my thoughts on a book I've read, too. I just wish that I could write faster as much as I read. The fact is that when ever I get...
